CLARA at the COP24

Encouraged by EASME to do so, the CLARA coordinator submitted a proposal for a side-event of the 2018 UN Climate Change Conference (COP24) in Katowice (03-14/12/2018). The side event has been planned in cooperation with other H2020 projects and has now been accepted. Find more details below.

Climate innovations for low-carbon and climate-resilient transitions

Climate innovation supports transitions to low-carbon and climate resilient societies, and plays a crucial role for delivering on the pledges of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Tailor-made and users’ co-developed climate services provide better information on past, present and future climate variability and change, and improve public and private decisions making.

Generation, diffusion and adaptation of innovative technologies and policy practices to local circumstances is a shared concern of public administrations and businesses.

But the innovation processes and services need to be co-designed, building upon scientific knowledge and business intelligence, end-user needs and made accountable to local societal challenges and priorities.
